DOAV supports improvements to Public Access airports across the state through grants. The airports are responsible for procuring goods and services for these projects and there is a great deal of opportunity in this arena. For information on the types of projects that are supported through this program, please see our Aviation Grant Program Page. All Federally Funded projects solicited by the airports are to be procured following federal guidelines including utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). To become certified as a DBE, please visit the VDOT Business Center website (http://www.virginiadot.org/business/const/prequal.asp).

Contractors should contact the Airport Services Division at (804) 236-3632 for information concerning bid specifications at Virginia airports.
