Directions to the Virginia Department of Aviation

The Virginia Department of Aviation is located on Richmond International Airport. 

1. Take I-64 to the Richmond International Airport exit. 
2. Upon exiting, drive straight ahead on Airport Drive.  The second stoplight is Williamsburg Road and the entrance to the airport.
3. Take the second left (Clarkson Road).  This is the same place you exit to return Rental Cars.
4. Take a left on Gulfstream Road. 
5. The Virginia Department of Aviation office is located on the right after you make the turn.

From the East

1. Take I-64 West toward Richmond to the Airport Drive exit (Exit 197).
2. Proceed South on Airport Drive into the Airport (RIC).
3. Continue on Airport Drive beyond the VA Aviation Museum (SR-71 Blackbird parked out front).
4. Take the next left, Clarkson Rd, which has a sign pointing toward the rental car return.
5. At the stop sign, make a left on Gulfstream Rd.
6. Department Offices and State Hangar are a couple hundred yards on right.

From the North

1. Take I-95 South toward Richmond to I-295.
2. Proceed East on I-295 toward VA Beach.
3. Take the Highland Springs, Airport Drive exit (Exit 31).
4. Proceed on Airport Drive for two plus miles until entering the Airport (RIC).
5. Continue on Airport Drive beyond the VA Aviation Museum (SR-71 Blackbird parked out front).
6. Take the next left, Clarkson Rd., which has a sign pointing toward the rental car return.
7. At the stop sign, make a left on Gulfstream Rd.
8. Department Offices and State Hangar are a couple hundred yards on right.

From the West

1. Take I-64 East through Richmond to the East Side of Metro.
2. Exit at Airport Drive (Exit 197).
3. Proceed south on Airport Drive into the Airport (RIC).
4. Continue on Airport Drive beyond the VA Aviation Museum (SR-71 Blackbird parked out front).
5. Take the next left, Clarkson Rd., which has a sign pointing toward the rental car return.
6. At the stop sign, make a left on Gulfstream Rd.
7. Department Offices and State Hangar are a couple hundred yards on right.

From the South

1. Take I-95 North to I-64 in downtown Richmond.
2. Take I-64 East toward VA Beach.
3. Exit at Airport Drive (Exit 197).
4. Proceed South on Airport Drive into the Airport (RIC).
5. Continue on Airport Drive beyond the VA Aviation Museum (SR-71 Blackbird parked out front).
6. Take the next left, Clarkson Rd., which has a sign pointing toward the rental car return.
7. At the stop sign, make a left on Gulfstream Rd. 8. Department Offices and State Hangar are a couple hundred yards on right.
