2008 "Operation Cow Drop" will take place at Hanover County Airport. Sponsored by Chick-fil-A and Heart of Virginia Aviation, plush cows, with a parachute attached, will be dropped out of an airplane at the Hanover County Airport during an "Operation Cow Drop" Family Fun Event. The top three cows that come closest to a bulls eye, will win fabulous prizes! In addition to the "Operation Cow Drop", families will have the opportunity to enjoy children's activities, entertainment, craft booths, Chick-fil-A food and much more! The plush cows may be purchased from participating non-profit organizations who will benefit from the proceeds. "Potomac TRACON - Operation Raincheck ADIZ Seminar and TRACON Tour" will be held from 10:00 a.m. – noon or from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Topic: ADIZ Seminar - Q&A on local air traffic procedures. Location: Potomac Consolidated TRACON, 3699 MacIntosh Drive, Warrenton, VA 20187. It will consist of a critical briefing on FAA, Air Traffic Control, Potomac TRACON, and air traffic procedures for operating within the Washington DC Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).
