Become A Pilot Day: Family Day and Aviation Display will take place at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA, near Washington Dulles International Airport. The event features educational activities and an outdoor aviation display with dozens of visiting vintage, recreational, military, and homebuilt aircraft. Visitors can talk to pilots and find out what skills are needed to fly. The event is free and open to the public (parking is $15.00). Manassas Regional Airport's 1st Annual Open House will be held at Manassas Airport, 10600 Harry Parrish Blvd, Manassas, VA 20110. In honor of Father’s come celebrate a fun filled family event. There will be aircraft on display along with aircraft and helicopter rides. Police canine unit demo, remote control helicopter, RV’s, boats, motorcycles, classic cars, hot rods on display. Kiwanis Wings and Wheels Show at Virginia Highlands Airport in Abingdon. Fly-In, cruise-in, and air show. No registration fee for vintage aircraft and automobiles. Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society - Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter meets at the Pilot House, Hummel Field, in Topping, Virginia in the "Eagle's Nest" at 12 Noon on the third Thursday of each month unless otherwise posted. Pilots can fly-in and park at the door of the restaurant. Visitors are welcome at these luncheon meetings. There is an interesting speaker from the field of aviation each month. Come visit the "Eagle's Nest" at any time and see the collection of aviation art and other memorabilia.
